Introduction joo-won kim is a principal dancer of knbc. a graduate of the moscow bolshoi ballet academy, russia. joined the knb in 1998. known to be a prodigy transforming herself into diverse characters, for instance, giselle in giselle, odette-odile in swan lake, kitri in don quixote, and lady capulet in jean-christophe maillots romeo and juliet. an invited dancer to the 1999 korean ballet star performance hosted by the ministry of culture and tourism of korea. as an invited dancer to the world star gala 2000, she performed the pas de deux with the royal ballets irek mukhamedov, who became known worldwide for his prima ballerino in spartacus. a recipient of the 5th rookie awards 2000 by the korean dance association. from 2000 to 2001, a principal dancer of yuri grigorovich triology: the nutcracker, swan lake, and spartacus. she served as public relations delegate for the 2002 fifa world cup korea-japan and was the guest principal dancer of don quixote at the japan’s new national theater in 2002
