a march of death proceeds as the requiem drifts through the air, and the years pass by from the birth of a human being. eunasha represents the childhood, musina the youth, and srarik the old age. the shoking stage set transforms itself into a crucifix, a keyhole, heaven’s portal, and a human eye, while the sophisticated lighting and wonderfully conceived choreography make it one of the korea national ballet’s masterpiece performances.
this repertoire was premiered in korea by the korea national ballet in 1992. “a masterpiece for the 30th anniversary” (the chosun sport)&#59 “overwhelming performance, a challenge in modern ballet” (the kyeunghyang daily newspaper)&#59 “energetic modern ballet performance by the korean national ballet” (the kookmin daily newspaper).
